I'm tired.
...of waking up and doing the same things day after day.
...of drinking lukewarm coffee.
...of cleaning up messes.
...of rain.
...and cicadas and ANTS
...and hate blanketing our country.
...of people who just cannot fathom the word kindness.
...of corona talk
...of hand sanitizer and masking
...of conspiracy theories.
...of not being able to go to church.
...or play with friends
...and not celebrating the last days of school with water balloons, surprises, and goodbye waves at the buses.
...of no makeup
...of lounge clothes.
...of my gray hair.
...of technology and social media
...and the constant bickering over right wing and left wing
...of grocery pickup and take out food
...but also my own cooking.
...of the mundane day to day
...and the roller coaster of emotions
...and the constant worrying and fear over EVERY SINGLE THING.
But for the weary and those who are tired God says:
Matthew 11:28-30 - Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.
Psalms 37:7 - Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Isaiah 40:28-31 - Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
Galatians 6:9-10 - And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Jeremiah 31:25 - For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.
Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
James 5:8 - Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Isaiah 40:1-31 - Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God.
1 Corinthians 14:33 - For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Psalms 61:1-4 - Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.
2 Thessalonians 3:13 - But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
