I know that you get tired of traveling this lonesome road alone. You tried with all your might to do right, but it seems like it's all wrong. Don't lose heart, I've been with you from the start. If you're tired and weak, I will help you stand. If you'll trust in me, I will be your friend. To the end. Seems like there's always something or someone to make you stumble on your way. But don't look down look up in the dark until you see the light of day. Have no fear, I will always be right here.
I can't really take a lot of credit for this post or say that I stumbled upon the scripture and words all on my own. Most of what I'm relaying is simply what my heart was blessed with at church. It was good enough however, that I felt I should share it with all of my readers.
If you glance at the TV at any given time right now, read the news, scroll your facebook feed, or overhear conversation, you will realize how numerous people in the world are experiencing pain, grief, and hardship. You will hear about struggles, trials, death, sickness...an endless abyss of issues encompass the world we live in today and in our own personal lives at times.
Each of us from time to time have cares and worries that strangle our very being, take over our hearts and minds and leave us struggling to overcome. So often, we let these cares and worries consume us to the point that it's no longer just worry but a barrier in our relationship with Christ. The time spent worrying and caring over things out of our control barricades our walk with Jesus and keeps us from him; time that could be spent in his presence, in his will, in his word, or in prayer.
Luckily....the bible says this:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for YOU! - 1 Peter 5:7
How do we know this to be true and know that God does indeed care for and love each of us? John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Galatians 2:20, 1 John 3:1, Psalm 86:15....we could go on and on here, but the bottom line is that he cares for us, he wants to be the shoulder we cry on, he wants to be our refuge in the storm. He will carry our burdens for us if we allow him to. He will be the load bearer if we ask him. When you are weak, he is strong.
I am so thankful to serve a God that is loving, merciful, selfless, and able. I am thankful that no matter what life may throw my way, he is there.
When I got in the car after church and turned on the radio, the lyrics I posted above were playing. It supported all that I just relayed to you. Trust that God cares for each of you and will help you carry your burdens! Just believe and ask!
